9. Clemson (has lost four straight to South Carolina - none of them close games)
10. Oklahoma
I'm sure I left someone out that deserved to be in. Just my opinion though.

I think Clemson is on the verge of a special season this year. They have a top 5 team returning in my opinion. Does that mean they will finish top 5? Who knows. I'm sure they'll lose to NC State or some team they shouldnt.
frick ... just admit you are a closet taterhead and move along.
Better yet, go hang yourself with a garden hose or something.

Some of you guys are still using history. We arent talking about history. The OP stated as of this very moment, forget the history.
FSU is a scary team and so is Clemson in my opinion.
I will kiss your arse in the middle of the street and give you time to draw a crowd if you are a legit SEC fan.
You've made a half dozen of the dumbest fricking posts ever known to man in this one single thread, all sucking ACC arse and, what's worse, you're doing it with not a leg to stand on.
No one here would argue with you if it made the least bit of sense, but since it does not, you're just a dumass for doing it over and over again.
You've outed yourself in plain view.

Why should Florida and Notre Dame be ahead of LSU? LSU is the clear second to me.
Posted on 3/10/13 at 8:13 pm to AlaTiger
A lot of those teams you ranked behind LSU have won a BCS bowl since 2007

I hear ya, but with Spurrier there along with the recruiting they'll be pretty good. Every team needs a couple of breaks to go their way, perhaps it could be said SCar needs a tad more, or probably more accurate, consistency. UGA was as good as they come and SCar smoked them. But then UF put up 44...UF's O last year would be hard pressed to put up 44 on an empty field. That 'one' game when they just disappear, they need to stop doing that.
Damn legit post right there.
I'll say this one thing in defense of that UF loss. It came after that beat down in Baton Rouge, one of the most physical games I have ever witnessed. It was followed by that team being ravaged with the flu, especially the room of Byrd, Ace and Ellington, they had it the worst all week and those three coughed it up in that game ... but you are exactly correct, SC has to quit doing that. Hopefully those sort of games end soon.
Remember, UF had 28 pts on the board with less than a 100 yds total offense at one point because our return guys turned it over three times inside the 10.

Florida hasn't done shite since 2009 and Notre Dame has had one good year in the last two decades.
LSU won the SEC title 2 years ago. That's worth more than a BCS game.

How many of them have won the SEC? Retarded question, I know, but I think you get my point. Northern Illinois played in a BCS game. BCS=shite

Number one, that's not me you quoted there. And two, you would not belong in any top ten right now.

Are you just asking for our preseason picks for next year?

No….but if you're going to call yourself a Top 10 program then that would be a good event to be able to say you've been to.
LSU, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia are the only teams I would put in the Top 10 from the SEC. And before you go on about South Carolina beating them the past few years, please remember that, despite South Carolina going 11-2 for the past two years, Georgia has won the SEC East the last two years and were just five yards away from a national championship back in December.
The Top 10 teams, in no particular order, are:
Oregon
Boise State
Oklahoma
Notre Dame
Stanford
Ohio State
Alabama
Florida
LSU
Georgia
Well that's your opinion because your list is clearly historical picks. Going to a bcs game clearly has nothing to do with how you view a team as being top 10 right now.

Stanford and Oregon are historical picks? Boise State has years upon years of tradition? Please...

And going to the Capital One Bowl every year is hardly an indicator of being a Top 10 team.

What the hell Notre Dame?
They are among the Top 10 teams right now. They appeared in the BCS National Championship Game last year. I don't know how you can get more top ten then that.

What is up with all the OU love? OU is a bigger dumpster fire than Texas right now. They may be taking volunteers from the student body to play some positions on D. Their recruiting has been declining steadily and they had a lot of their talent leave early. If Stoops can find a way to keep OU in the Top 3 of the Big 12 next year he deserves to be COY. It's just not a very talented team and the direction of the program is downhill. If you want to call them Top 20 that's fine but no way are they Top 10 RIGHT NOW. Even if you go to Landthieves they have all but accepted they are in for a rough patch the next few years.
I'd put all 6 of the SEC Teams that were in the Top 10 most of last year of the list for sure, esp because of the recruiting they have been putting up to support it. USCe is probably the only one that is questionable but they are no worse than Top 15, mainly they lose a few points from a pretty blah recruiting class.
No Big 12 school should be on any of these lists right now, though they would have a decent number of Top 25 Programs. It's a league of "pretty good" but lacking in excellence. Texas and OU are the power programs but honestly it would be very surprising if either won the Big 12 this year. The rest simply don't have the strength to be Top 10 Programs, they may have a Top 10 Team on occasion but they are not Top 10 Programs with small budgets, stadiums, and resources in general.
You can pick the other 4 from this bucket imo and make a decent case for any:
Ohio State
Notre Dame
Florida State (maybe)
Michigan
Oregon (losing Kelly is HUGE though)
Stanford
Hard to put USCw on the list right now, pretty serious dumpster fire at the moment.
The other thing is you have a number of SEC programs that are pound for pound stronger than so many other schools from other conferences. Auburn could get back on top fast. Arkie and UT have a ton of resources. Ole Miss has the best bagman in the SEC (I kid, I kid. Well, kinda).

A&M needs to win something more than the cotton bowl to be in there. In 3 years they very well may be but not yet.

Well...they have won/shared two Big 12 titles in the last three years for starters. They are also 32-8 in the last three seasons while Texas is 22-16 in that same time period.
