1.) You haven't read much on this site, then
2.) You've already revealed the status of your jimmies as rustled. No need to belabor the point

Good thing we arent talking about the last decade, the OP says right now at this point.

So for who's RIGHT NOW the Top 10 programs:
1. Bama (obviously and I should've have to justify this.)
2. Ohio State (fantastic coach and perfect irrelevant season helps.)
3. South Carolina (same as above, but better facilities and coach.)
4. Stanford (consecutive Top 10 finishes and solid recruiting)
5. Florida (facilities, last season, coaching improvements)
6. Oregon (record, facilities, but coach left, so they fell)
7. LSU (coach, recruiting, but can't beat clemson so they aren't higher and their QB isn't very good.)
8. aTm (had one good season and good recruiting, beat BCS Champ)
9. FSU (more so that they play in an easy conference than anything else, but they recruit well, good coaches, and facilities.)
10. Michigan (coaching is solid, recruiting well, had a tough schedule last year, but a good team. Should be the only team to challenge OSU next year.)

Solid list that you backed up with stats. Having South Carolina in your top 10 is legit, but until they win their division again, at least, I would not have them as the top 3 program in the country.

Boise St maybe...
Solid (just not in that order). I can't get behind FSU, but I see the argument. I would trade out FSU with A&M - but that's just me.
Nice call on Boise St - I agree

He said "right now." There's only 4 teams that finished in the Top 10 for the past 2 years, we're 1 of them. Also, we've had major facility upgrades, solid recruiting, a legendary coach, and we're winning our share of the big games. Right now, we're Top 10.
This.

And no offense to South Carolina fans
I hear ya, but with Spurrier there along with the recruiting they'll be pretty good. Every team needs a couple of breaks to go their way, perhaps it could be said SCar needs a tad more, or probably more accurate, consistency. UGA was as good as they come and SCar smoked them. But then UF put up 44...UF's O last year would be hard pressed to put up 44 on an empty field. That 'one' game when they just disappear, they need to stop doing that.

Right now Boise is not a top ten program. Four or five years ago, they would be on everyone's list if this thread was started.

Name the Top 10 CFB Programs In the Country RIGHT NOW quote: Well, recent history has to come into play - like at least the past 3 years or so. That is what "RIGHT NOW" means. To you Why don't you make your own spinoff thread with your desired parameters?
Honestly, I think that everyone but the A&M fans who want to only include the last half of last season are getting it.
Taking into account the past 3 years, present day, and going forward is a fair view. Now, if a team was good 3 years ago and fell off last year considerably, that would not be right now.
It appeared to be understood until A&M fans wanted to take the fact that the beat Bama to mean that they are now a top 3 PROGRAM in the country. That is a bit much.
Still, lots of credit to A&M. Definitely top 10.

Again, I'm just answering the OP to the best of my ability as his question was posed. If you disagree with the parameters, that's you

In your opinion. There's no hard and fast data here--it's all subjective. My personal statement was that an argument could be made, flimsy, solid, or otherwise.

I guess I'm just taking more of a snapshot of where I think the program is RIGHT NOW. Not 3 years ago.
If you did this same poll in 2007 you would have left Bama off, even though the next year they finished 12-2 and went to the SECCG. It didnt take a rocket scientist to know that their program was in a different place than the last 3 years. Thats what I think of aTm.

But then, how do you justify A&M in the top 10 based on one year, yet leave UGA out? They have essentially the same argument -- mediocre 2011; great 2012. Plus solid recruiting, fan support, coaching and facilities. Seems to me the programs are about equal (unless you think Sumlin is better than Richt).
And, yeah, I know that opens the door to knocking USC out, but we had two great years in a row whereas those teams had one (plus we beat Bama in 2010, so have the same argument for that year as ATM does for 2012).

I didn't leave UGA out. They are in there. I also went back and added South Carolina at #10 with FSU.

Notre Dame should be nowhere near this list.

Understood. It is all very subjective.
I get what you are saying about A&M. Anyone with eyes can see what is happening there. I just think that putting them at the #3 program in the nation was a bit generous, but to each his own. That's why I asked.

Notre Dame
Went undefeated, played for national title last year, have a really good coach, name recognition, relatively easy schedule, can recruit anywhere, huge fanbase and more money than we can imagine.
Without last year, they wouldn't be. A Notre Dame recruiting well and in the national title game is formidable, to say the least.

A rising team that just went 13-1 and played in the championship game doesn't belong on this list? Are you high?
