Name a more frustrating penalty than illegal block in the back on a punt return

This penalty is mind boggling to me. If a player's back is to you why even touch him? This gets called multiple times a game and should be one of the most easily avoidable penalties out there.
Is it because most SEC players are studs in high school and didn't play special teams or just stupidity?

Delay off game after timeout

100% agree - it is the most consistently frustrating penalty in football. I think the biggest thing about it is you are expecting the ball at a certain yardline, generally between the 20 and the 40, and then you get a block in the back and all of a sudden it completely changes the possession because it always puts you back between the 10-30.
On kickoffs it is most frustrating, because it almost destroys your drive before it even starts.

Roughing the passer on intentional grounding.

My brother, who adamantly agrees with me, still has to hear my speech at least 1,000 times a season. It is without a doubt the most ridiculous, consistently committed penalty in football if not all of sports. It is also, despite occasional contrary claims, the most selfish play in all of football. This isn’t about making a play to spring your teammate for the benefit of the team. It is instead an attempt to be seen as the guy who sprang his teammate or a complete lack of impulse control. Certainly coaches hammer home this penalty with every special teams player. 9 times out of 10 it is committed in the most conspicuous of places. It is going to be caught by officials almost every damn time. Holycrap it irritates me! Selfish, selfish, selfish. A kid who cares about his team backs away from this play. It’s turrible!

Targeting when the QB gets hit too hard or when a WR ducks his head.
I would say 75% of the time I see a targeting flag it's for simply a bang bang play or a big hit. The small remainder are mostly just being stupidly aggressive. I've only seen 1 or 2 total where I thought there was a clear intent to injure the other player.
The ejection for a first time offense in all but the most extreme of circumstances is incredibly overboard, bordering on game-deciding. Not to even go into the increased risk of injury by the remaining players who will now play 20-30% more snaps or the benchwarmer who may not have the necessary conditioning to safely be on the field.

How on earth do you jump offsides if you are lined up directly over the Center?

I think the Cam Robinson 5 false starts a game was pretty frustrating.

Delay of game penalty AFTER you've taken a time out.

Pro football HAS to be pass interference.
College football, prob either running into the kicker or holding.

In their defense, nose guards are lined up directly over the guy with the ball in his hand(s) who is no doubt making movements, grunts and farts that no one else (least of all the refs) are seeing. Still, I getcha.

A false start or delay of game on one of our FGs that we actually make. The do over is a guaranteed fail.

You hate when Bama does this?
Or when other teams do it and it doesn't get called?

Illegal procedure, especially when it results in the nullification of a big play.

1. Too many men on the field.
2. Refs missing too many men on the field.
