Les Miles, except with a high football IQ. Think we see elite defenses, special teams and unlike Les, a more balanced offense. In game adjustments will be helluva lot better. This guy wants to coach against Saban again with LSU talent.

He’s a very good coach. Don’t know about recruiting BUT he is exactly who LSU needed at THIs time. The effect Saban had on LSU has worn off and LSU is due for a reset. He has the personality to do that if the admins give him time and not necessarily be hung up on immediate national success. The fans will have to understand that as well. If guys like Chris Landry are correct LSU has been operating at what would be an embarrassment level to good high school from an organizational stand point.

Come on man, he could not get the skill players, speed, with Vanderbilt like academic restrictions. At LSU , that eill not be a problem. Its amazing what he has done with the talent he has had.

I had almost forgotten about the massive LSU inferiority complex in regards to Bama.

Nah, that's bullshite.

If you post on this site you can never forget about it.

That stings- but truth usually does. Yes - it’s time we have some stability, organization, responsibility and professionalism. We can take a break on having “characters” for a while

Good take. Kelly is not here to take us to the promised land. He is here to get the situation under control. This program is in shambles. He is going to bring some long overdue structure and discipline to it. Looking forward to seeing what he can do with the talent available to him.

What was his average recruiting class ranking over his 12 years?

Not sure. Just know that he will have access to a lot better players because of the (relatively low) academic standards of LSU.

This is a good assessment. Though I'm happy the program will be given a dose of stability and hope he succeeds, I wonder if this will work in the long run, though.

ND is given deference in the CFP and at least the AP, often when it is unwarranted. Like was mentioned with Oklahoma's program coming to the SEC, Kelly won't have that in the SEC-West.

And although I believe this is squarely-about-the-money, I applaud Coach Kelly for embracing the role [where we now suspect Riley felt the opposite]. Kelly leads a powerhouse program in the SEC west. Riley simply moved Oklahoma to the West coast.

Who’s he going to coach with? Don’t you find it strange he couldn’t get one assistant to come with him. Must be a real piece of shite.

He left an 11-1 team on the edge of the CFP to take over a 6-6 train wreck in hot arse Baton Rouge.

I think it is a little bit more than money.

That helps prove it was all about money.
