Where does your son want to go? I assume he applied more than one place.

He would only get in to New Row, not worth it.

Should be happy with whatever he chooses.
Also, he will get to experience National Championships.

Congrats on him living in your basement after college.

I would recommend not basing your son's college decision on an internet ranking or any ranking for that matter.

He wants to go to engineering and want to experience great college life. Lives with his mom in bama and I can’t afford to pay for his oos to A&M

Everyone gets accepted to Bama...but most try to avoid the place.

Auburn and Alabama have great college life. Auburn is better at engineering, but I wouldn't say Alabama is awful either. If he has a 30-32+ ACT, I would recommend the STEM MBA program at UA.
He can get an engineering undergrad and MBA in only five years total. We get a ton of company recruiters that deal with the program also.
Definitely don't overlook Alabama Huntsville either. It's a great value school. He probably won't have the same college experience that he would at UA or AU, but the facilities are nice and the teaching and connections, particularly for engineering, are good as well.

If he is serious about engineering, look at Auburn. Georgia Tech is probably the best, but Auburn is very good also with good job prospects afterwards.

Is the son's name Curtis ?
If he ends up living in the basement that might be lowe.
Although, perhaps he could sing you a ballad or two. Does he play a dobro ?
See, its not so bad :)

Don’t let him live in Paty Hall. I haven’t seen one normal kid live there.

WTF does the Ballad of Curtis Loew have to do with Alabama?

Nothing really, I just like my buddy DownSouthJukin 's user name, so I sometimes try to prank on him :)

Auburn is a good engineering school and Tech is better, but "best?" No.
M.I.T., Cal Tech, Stanford, etc

If engineering is what he wants to do I would suggest State then he can go to tuscaloosa on weekends to party.

Don't let the shitty money numbers fool you. I would send my kids to both Alabama and Auburn. Those are two SERIOUSLY underrated institutions.
And, frick Alabama and Auburn.

Chicken on a Stick U probably has pretty high admission requirements.

Well at least he became the first person in your family to finish high school.
