Seven good ones. Wish we could do more of this around here.

1 - SCAR

2 - UF yes, UGA I'm not sure. UGA lost a few good ones, two in particular and I am not including Rambo in that because he wasn't that good IMHO.

3 - No

4 - They may start treking-back this season, but they are a long ways away.

5 - Yes, but it will probably not happen.

6 - Ummmm, good question. When you stop to consider that it is basically another three team race in the East again this year, then probably not.

7 - Good question. I'm not sure. The entire SEC is going to be it's strongest, top-to-bottom, over the course of the next two seasons so I am just not sure anyone will really be spanked in the good old-fashioned sense of the word.

Edited: grammar, spelling, spacing, puncuation

Don't bring old shite into a new thread. Very weak sauce.

Decent thread, though.

1) who will win the SEC East? USC

2) can Florida and Georgia replace the great defenders they lost from last season? Probably not initially, but people always step up.

3) can South Carolina make it to the National Championship game without winning the SEC East?? Doesn't matter, they win the East

4) is this the year Tennessee starts the trek back to glory? Probably not, another year or so to get everything moving under Butch. There will be bright spots.

5) Does Vanderbilt have the tools to upset a major power? Any given Saturday.

6) Can Missouri compete hard enough to affect the SEC East race? If affect is defined as potentially beating someone that was competing before we played them...sure. If it means have a chance to win the east, nope.

7) who is going to get spanked this year??? I'm guessing UK, but only because it seems like the thing to do. Could just as easily be Mizzou or Tennessee.

Lot's of "If's" there. 5-Dimes already reported, the smart money is on USC.

Of course it is. Easiest SEC schedule from UF,UGA, USC should be the favorite. UGA will know its fate by week 3 if they start 2-0 they will be undefeated heading into Atlanta.

1. Both UGA and USC start out their seasons with possibly the toughest several games on their schedules. UGA fans have stated for years that their program typically start seasons slowly, while USC teams start out fast. This was their rationalization for USC playing UGA so tough in their regular early-schedule slates over the years.

But USC also has a tough front 2 games in UNC and UGA....however, IMO UGA has the tougher row to hoe as Clemson is undoubtedly better than UNC at this time - we can call USC and UGA a wash, although UGA has much more to replace defensively than USC does, and therefore should have more questions early in the season.

If UGA wins, they play LSU at home and UF in Jacksonville...if USC wins, we play MSU in Starkville (our next toughest SEC opponent after UF, IMO) and UF at home. I also think the edge here goes to USC for the easier challenge, but we'll see.

In other words, to answer the question IMO it's a tie between both USC and UGA: whoever wins will be in the driver's seat....

2) They both have talent to do so, but the bigger questions will be can they replace the experience and confidence, and can they limit the mistakes, blown assignments and busted plays if they can't

3) IMO USC needs to go undefeated to make the BCSCG

4) UT have a new head coach, coaching staff, and new direction. So this HAS to be the year the Vols move forward. IMO it will take a couple of years, but I can see them moving forward - I though Dooley was on the right track, and he had the Vol offense among the better ones in the SEC, but obviously he made a disastrous decision hiring Sunseri....

5) They had a better chance last season, and they failed to do it. They lost several key players from their team last season, and after winning 9 games and finishing ranked for the first time since 1847, they'll have opponent's attention in 2013. The "major powers" Vandy will face in '13 will be @ USC, UGA, @ TAMU, and @ UF. Vandy's records versus those opponents are not inspiring....

6) IMO yes, they need to step up their game from last season, but last season IMO was a down year for Mizzou for many reasons. This season will be a good one for Pinkel to redeem himself...

Yes, but both teams may lose some games in the process or just take some games to be what they were last year.

Hell nah.

Depends on QB play & if they can replace the missing pieces from last years squad, right now I'll say no.
