And I’d be extremely jealous

Now is ripe time for him to get out of Nevada too, he loses his entire starting 5, his value probably wont ever be higher.

He's a really good coach.
He carried Johnny Jones on his back the one year we did well under him.

Musselman left the NBA and went 110-34 .763 at Nevada making the tournament 3 consecutive years. He has done more than Mike has done here. Also, dont forget Mike was here in the SEC, when it was considered one of the weakest conferences. Only this year did the SEC really show for the first time in a long time. Supposedly he is very excited to become the head hog and take this program back to where it should be.

What happened to the Sampson connection?

Rightfully so. When has blatant nepotism ever worked out in sports?

We'll ask Houston in about 6 years.

From what I have seen Sampson wants to stay put in Houston, which is fine, and I believe a lot of it was due to the fact that HY was at Houston before. Also, I have only seen that a 3rd party reached out to him. Not a bad way for him to get a raise and possibly have a spot for his son to coach after him. Not saying that is it, but will be interesting to see the contract details of both.
I havent heard any numbers yet with Musselman, but have seen that it will be loaded with incentives at the back end. Hopefully he works hard and gets us back at the top.

It truly would be a great hire. Best of any SEC school thus far.

He can obviously recruit. His wife:

There is a catch here

He's certainly not the "elite" coach I was hoping for (could still become one though), and I have reservations about his recruiting and roster management, but he's done great things for Nevada and I'm cautiously excited.

I would be ecstatic if Mizzou made this hire. He’s a winner who plays an enjoyable style of ball to watch.

“We beat him in the tourney this year so he’s obviously overrated”
Dunno why Florida fans are so vocal about this guy. They’re on Twitter bad mouthing it too.
