“Our understanding is that Muschamp has the support of the President and Board of Trustees,” the report said, and added that Muschamp is expected to return in 2020, but with changes. “With the understanding that the program needs to show signs of advancing. Muschamp believes in his staff as is; but the powers that be are likely looking for some change in hopes of better results on the field going forward. It wouldn’t be shocking to see some new blood brought in to breathe new life into the staff.”

Not shocking

Muschamp is the archetypical ugly girlfriend. He puts out & loves you but that fat Aggie wart on his nose makes you cringe.

Typical Gamecock move. And we wonder why our rival beats our arse every year. They fired Bowden at 3-3 only a year removed from going 9-4. If there's one fan in the stands until Tanner and Boom are fired that's one too many.

You're in the SEC and have to play Clemson every year. It'll be tough to land a high quality coach for that gig. You'll have to take some risks.

It makes my brain hurt how many idiots just want to fire McClendon and give Muschamp another year

How brainwashed can you be

Nobody even wants to consider Tanner being fired because oh he won two baseball championships

I never understood the hire
And this wasn’t a hire in 1995 this was done pretty recent
Large multi million dollar athletic program, lets hire a guy with 0 experience

Agree
I don’t think Muschamp was a risk at all.
He was the “safe” hire.

Safe in that we knew what we were getting, a guy who once was a HC in the SEC

As a baseball fan, would you want him to just go back to baseball?
I’m not sure how this new guy is doing, but I just know we haven’t won anything big since 2011

I want his arse out of Columbia permanently. He has destroyed our athletic department.

Mike Houston guys. National Championship at JMU, runner up at JMU, took Citadel to playoffs which is not easy. Having a tough year in his first year at ECU but it’s a total rebuild job. North Carolina boy that can help you in that state. Is he a sexy big name? No but couple years he may not be available. Would give him a look. Dabo wasn’t a sexy big name either but I think that’s worked out.
