i would have said he would be fired for losing to ga southern but UF has gone soft so he might even be able to survive a 6 or 7 win season

Idk but if USC goes to the swamp and manages a win that will definitely get him canned and not cause it's anything serious to lose to us just that seems like everytime a coach is on the hot seat and we beat his team he usually gets fired immediately following the game

I think 9 wins guarantees him another year even if he loses to UGA again. Anything less and all bets are off.

My OP wasn't a troll FWIW. It was a serious question.

then why don't you post a serious question about your team, cause they have just as many if not more questions to answer than we do.

I agree. I don't think he has to beat UGA but it certainly seems like the fans are ready to do that again.

Pity it won't happen

Richt might throw the game to make sure boom sticks around. He would be a bad manchurian coach if he can't do long term damage to the program.

How would he have more equity now-- he needs to win 9 or 10 in the regular season plus a win in the bowl or Atlanta-- seriously why on Earth would 7 or 8 wins keep his job-- Florida is one of 3 schools in the SEC where a freaking chimp could average at least 8 wins-- Muschamp has had one season in three years that met his predecessor's average win total and even that was an unwatchable bore that set the game back 30 years. He's a poor man's version of his mentor Tommy Tubberville.

He should've been gone after last year, and they should have went after Charlie strong. Muschamp sucks arse as a Head Coach.

Will has done an excellent job so far, but we would sacrifice him if necessary. UGA can't risk throwing the program and fans back into Florida-related PTSD shock. We're almost rehabilitated, but not quite.

I'm going with 7 wins based on 2 things: their schedule is pretty brutal and IF they improve offensively throughout the season.

Why on Earth would 7 wins keep Boom, winning 8 every year got a superior coach in Ron Zook fired.

Hopefully 9+ wins and beating two of our rivals. Anything less than that and I'll have lost faith in Foley when it comes to football decisions.

One of, if not, the worst coach in the SEC and maybe all of college football. I'm not sure I can remember a coach who has done so little relative to the talent on his roster.

GSU, really?

Boom has been given more rope than Zook was given.

IMO, FLA needs to show marked improvement on offense, keep the games competitive and make it to a bowl game for WM to keep his job.

UT is not a rival for UF. We are about to annex that hillbilly school just for the corpse farm research. Try UK or Vandy if you guys are still looking for a rival.

Zook inherited a dynasty whereas Boom inherited a mess. But that doesn't matter now. This is his 4th year and 2014 is do or die time for him.

I would have thought so, too. As smart as Jeremy Foley is...I'd say that there was a reason to hold off at least another year.

If we're being perfectly honest, his performance last year was exponentially worse than any single Derek Dooley coached season.

He is that level bad.
