They can't afford his buyout in these conditions

Up until the last two seasons, Muschamp owned UT.

$13.475M on 12/1/20. the optics of paying the buyout this season is a bigger issue than the funds to actually do it. Tanner was forced to re-worked WM's contract when Bobo was hired to restructure compensation and knocked $3M off the buyout. it falls below $9M on 12/1/21.

Muschamp still has a majority of our 17,000 BOTs in his corner that believe he is capable of being successful at Carolina, too.

Gamecock fans are stuck in this .500 W/L purgatory with Muschamp through 2021.

Don't forget that former Gamecock football players that both played for him here and simply know him as our current coach also swear he will win here as well and insist we just need to be patient.

Damndest thing I've ever seen. He has some weird ability to incite some weird sense of belief and confidence in his odds of succeeding here among a lot of ppl.

I’ve been saying this since day 1. He says all of the right things and does mostly right. He also seems extremely personable.

He just doesn’t W.

Most people that mattered at UF were bought in that he would win.

This will be enough to keep his job for as long as Tanner has his. A lot of big money Carolina people are A-OK with mediocrity.
