Muschamp actually did have SC going in right direction after 2 seasons. What happened?

What game or event broke him?
Because after 9-4 2017 season and some nice recruiting wins, SC looked to be in good hands

Honestly that 9-4 year was a horribly underachieving team. Offense was the worst in the country with 5 or 6 NFL starters on offense

Mirage much like UF's 2012 season.

All was well until Jimbo dragged his nuts across Will's face.

What? You think all was well with Muschamp at SC until the game 2 weeks ago?
As someone mentioned it was a bit of a mirage.
We didn't really beat anyone worth a damn that year. Our best win would've been against NC State who also finished 9-4 and #23 in the final AP poll.
We didn't really compete with either UGA and Clemson, lost to a couple of 7-6 teams in UK and Texas A&M, and only beat La Tech by a single point.

He didn't have crappy noncon games to beat up on.

Nah. I don't like losing by 45 points.

Same thing that happened at UF...
He was left was his players

Spurrier's recruits left

Spurrier left very little “recruits” behind. Muschamp showed his potential his first two years here then fell apart.
