I’ve taken a different read on this. Trask leaving and Mullen knew they couldn’t win this game so why not play Jones and get him ready for nextvyearvwithbmeaningfulndnaod.

They had a chance to come back in the second half. Receivers aren’t catching. Coulda cut it to 10 points. Both teams aren’t doing much.

Not playing him is giving up. Sure he's struggled, but you're down 21 and need to throw the ball deep. He at least gives you a chance. Go down swinging.

He threw 3 INTs and looked to have zero chemistry with what amounts to the second string WRs. Emory does. It's smart leaving trask out.
