Mullen had 11 chances to beat Saban and didn’t once but Gus did many times:

Mullen was coaching at a significantly worse program until the prior 2 tries though.

Because Auburn and State are comparable. Just like Vandy and Georgia…both in the same conference so clearly equal jobs.

You might want to worry about the AAC schedule this year.

Gus didn’t have much luck against UGA. And I can’t recall but I doubt he did against any of UFs multitude of coaches either. Comparing State to any top or mid tier SEC school is ridiculous.

Many? He was 3-5 vs Saban, which to his credit, was the best record any SEC HC has had vs Saban since he got to Bama

Never won outside of JHS. 2 of the 3 wins he was blessed to catch Alabama at the end of regular seasons where they had a ton of injuries. The third, Saban and Malzahn were in an active competition to see who could coach the game worse and Saban got the last laugh.

Auburn fans can enjoy those wins, I know I would if the shoe was on the other foot, but I think there is a reason why he got axed from that job despite all that relative success against the top program in the country:

The powers that be there knew those 3 wins were not indicative of coaching acumen.

UCF had many National Championship games.... broadcasted by several providers but didn't watch any and was never in one.

In UCFs mind they think that they rule college football. Thank you AU for driving them into mental illness.

I understand as a UCF fan you may just be discovering this information for the first time, but here in actual SEC country we actual SEC fans have been following this developing situation for some time now. You really don't have to tell us.

Gus had one chance to beat Louisville. And gosh, he didn’t do it.

That’s why you’re UCF. A wannabe P5 team that’s happy with a failed P5 HC.
