Really shouldn’t have even been in the play in game.

Who will be next?

I wouldn't be surprised if it's us against Illinois. Then again, the Big 10 chokes on cock moreso than any other conference in the NCAA tourney.

If we are up big at halftime, you can bet we'll make the court brown with unfettered diarrhea after we collapse in the 2nd half. It's what we do.

I thought MSU played well. Down by 1 with 10 seconds to go in March. I'll take that deal.

They were so fricking hot at the onset I was sure they would cruise. I hate it for the Conference but no love loss for them for sure.

Good practice to lose to the junior Gamecocks before losing to the real ones later on.

ETA: I'll do the walk of shame bc I was talking about baseball and this was about MBB. I forget that sport exists since it basically doesn't at Carolina.

Hopefully not us. We're the next SEC school up to bat. Are you trying reverse psychology on fate? Don't be trying that shite. A Mizzou fan should know better.

Well we got the late night slate Thursday, so Arkansas and Auburn and Mizzou all go first

With Mizzou's recent string of NCAAT failures (in the few opportunities you get), I'm a little surprised how willing you are to throw stones.

1 point loss in the big dance is not an embarrassment.

Going to be lots of games come down to the last shot

In case anyone has no idea what happened, State was trailing 59-60 vs. Pittsburgh with about 0:03 remaining and had the ball.

Moore missed an uncontested three-pointer in the corner and then Jeffries missed an easy put back that would've won it.

Thus, State gets eliminated in the First Four game.

We were actually up 1 with 10 seconds left and they hit a shot to go up 1. We had a perfect play set up out of the time out but Pitt had a foul to give. With 3 seconds left, they fouled us as the pass went to Moore for a 3 that went through the net and didn't count.

Good play by Pitt

But we had an open 3 and a open put back that missed at the buzzer.

Yeah, tough way to go out, especially after that run over the final couple of minutes.

And you're right, the made three on that off-the-ball foul was beautiful. Smith also got blocked on his shot down low, but IDK if that was going in.

Just really sort of an unfortunate series of events there at the end after what appeared to be a nice comeback.

This. If we are up double digits at half, make sure to contact your bookie immediately.

I’m not sure State even had an NIT roster and they made the tournament. Super tough way to lose but this season exceeded my expectations by a big margin. Tolu is the only player who would start on any of the other SEC teams that made the tourney. And even the worst teams in the league had certain guys who probably would’ve started on this State team.

Jans has gotta get more talent in the program, but if he does (and he seems to be off to a good start), watch out. This guy is one of the best X’s and O’s coaches in the country and he did a great job with this rag tag roster. I think State will be in the NCAAT mix most years as long as he is here. Really curious to see what he can do with some guys that can actually shoot.

If Tolu comes back and State can improve their outside shooting, I think this is a Top 25 team next year.

They were not an embarrassment. They played a good game and barely lost as an 11 seed to another power conference school.

Eh I actually think Florida's NIT performance is the only embarrassment so far. State played well.
