It was on TV last year and in the same stadium. Why not this year?

It was through espnU last year. This year espnU isn’t showing it

Ten years ago maybe. Jim is slipping badly.

He still has it. Just aging. He still is and will be the voice of Mississippi State baseball. I couldn’t imagine not hearing him on the radio

Yes, his voice is Mississippi State baseball and I hold him in extremely high regard. He will never be replaced adequately. But he is getting painful to listen to. He doesn't "still have it."
That said, half of Jim Ellis is still light years better than David Kellum.

I would love to be at this game. This kind of stuff is why I love college sports.
Drop the mic. We are done here. This matters because people are invested in it.
When it starts to become about statistics and does this improve our RPI, SOS, or SOL, then it loses what makes a sport rivalry great.
If Arkansas plays Texas in tiddlywinks or quidditch I want to win. I don't give a rat's arse whether it improves our standing or not.

My opinion is that it is important because of RPI and SOS
it's somewhat important for RPI and SOS, but single midweek games don't move the needle in that regard all too much. For instance, when LSU lost to Southern they were ranked around 200 in RPI. The loss only dropped LSU 2 spots in the RPI.
I'd say it's a bigger game than most midweek games are but still not all too important in the grand scheme. I think in terms of the rivalry it would mean more if Ole Miss and State didn't also play a 3-game series during the season.

The SEC Network is showing Missouri State Missouri game.
That’s insulting

This. SEC tv rights only apply in SEC stadiums.
It was on SEC Network last year.

It matters but not as much as the SEC series. You can go 2-2 (1-2) and it is not as good as 2-2 (2-1)

Last years game was on the SEC NETWORK. SEC NETWORK. SEC NETWORK.

It really doesn't matter which channel it was on. They're both owned by the same network.
That being said...it still doesn't fall underneath the SEC/ESPN contract so they aren't obligated to carry it.
