MSU at A&M predictions

Big game for both teams. A&M looks to build on momentum and maintain an outside shot at a west title (with some luck). State looks to gain back respect by winning on the road against a quality opponent which they have struggled to do so far, and become bowl eligible for the 8th straight year.
State will have the best front 7 A&M has faced so far.
A&M doesn't have the defense that Georgia or Auburn has and msu should be able to score plenty.
Can Mond get the passing game going to exploit states weaker spot in the defense?
Can state keep big plays in check and show up motivated to play on the road?
I got the Bulldogs getting the win 31-28 with a late field goal.

Look, State's front 7 is very good - but get real.
As for who is going to win - I have no idea.

Well minus Alabama I forgot y'all played them already. Best you've faced against teams you've beaten

If we can run the ball, state by 6-10 points,if we have to rely on the pass a@m by at least 14-21

I think ours is better than Floridas.
Compare what ours did to LSU and LSU vs Florida.
Though it is close

Mississippi State 42, A&M 14. Shades of the 2005 Iowa State game.

Good one. LOL

Defense really isn't our problem this year. We have enough defense to beat State.

Probably not enough to make it count. Mond is so streaky he makes Trevor Knight look consistent. We need second half Mond to show up to start the game.

Unlikely cause it is State after all. History says no.

If Ags score 24+ we probably win. I am expecting us to score in the teens and leave our D on the field way too long

We had even more trouble with UF up front than we did with Bama. If UF wasn't so bad offensively, they would have beaten us easily. We had real problems on offense for most of the game.
On the other hand, we did find out Friday night that our starting tackle had to have an emergency appendectomy. I assume he's fine by now.

I think A&M wins because they can run the football better.

SEC play aside from the Arkansas game does not bear that out.
South Carolina: 49 carries for 237 yards (4.84 ypc)
Alabama: 40 carries for 71 yards (1.78 ypc)
Florida: 38 carries for 83 yards (2.18 ypc)

Two things here
OL will have to handle the crowd noise better than we did in Athens and Auburn.
Defense will have to protect the back end. We failed miserably on that end in those two games as well.
Right now give A&M the edge at home. IF we correct the above issues in this game, then we have a chance. But until I see us do that , I will be skeptical that we can win Saturday night.

MSU 28
aTm 13
Nail biter. Uncertain until the very end. Dan will make no second or third string subs on O unless someone gets hurt. He will on D, since that is how we are playing D this year.
I See this as a very close game, with (I hope) an MSU surge in the forth qtr to get us 2 TDs ahead.
Won't be reflected in the score, but (if we come to play) this will be the best game we will have played this year.
