giving 18 yr olds this kind of influence and power will ruin the sport
Stop giving a frick about them and then they won't have the influence to have this type of impact.

Ruin it how boomer? Your skin privilege a little shaken an 18yr college student has more balls than you to speak up on what’s morally right from wrong? Yet you cheer & revolve your life around the lil negro boys for your entertainment!! College football was here before you and will thrive beyond your years on this earth.

Gen X er here. What "skin privilege" do Whites enjoy? We aren't the ones who commit 90% of all interracial violence each year, but our race is the one the media pretends is so violent. We are more likely to be killed by cops after controlling for arrests per capita, but extremely rare White cop on Black violence captures the attention of the entire nation and a fawning media.
Our heroes and statues are being toppled, our "Karens" are being demonized as Tyrone and Latisha go on beating sprees, and Polar Bear hunts and enjoy the knockout game, but again, WE are the one group with a blood libel attached to us by the vicious lying media. It does not take any courage for a young Black man to pretend he is being hunted down, that he is the victim.

Black constipation matters!
They aren't the victims.
They aren't the victims.
They aren't the greatest victims of hate crimes.
They aren't the group most likely to be killed by cops, even when controlling for arrests per capita.

too bad Mike Leach hates running backs
Leach has had a RB hit 700+ yards in 9 out of 18 seasons as a head coach. That's hardly hating running backs.

The flag change has been coming for sometime. There has been a growing consensus for several years, including among white Republicans, that it was time to change the flag. Recent events have accelerate the change, but it was coming.

Since when have White Republicans been about conserving anything but big corporate profits? They would sell their own mother to the devil for enough money. This is a short term victory for business in Mississippi, and a long term step toward homogenization of American culture. What symbols of the South won't be removed?

Yes, there were 3-4 games where he did nothing, but neither did anybody else on State's offense. Playing for Joe Moorhead did him no favors, there was zero imagination with how he was used, it was literally just plow him up the middle every play. Even so, you're talking about a guy that had over 1,500 all purpose yards on a bad team, overrated is a stretch.
Talent-wise he's extremely gifted though. He won't get as many carries this year but if he can prove himself to be a weapon in the passing game then he can really boost his draft stock.

Democrats sell out the black population of this country every election cycle. They have done virtually nothing to improve the quality of life for African Americans for many years. They talk big, and produce nothing. By the way, if you think big wig Democrats in DC aren’t beholden to Wall Street, you are really naive,
I know lots of white Republicans who do more for the black community through supporting efforts like pro bono legal services, participating in joint projects and programs between black and white churches than a lot of big talk liberals. They are Republicans because they are socially conservative, like many African Americans. They have no home in the Democratic Party.
The flag was adopted on 1894. It had the effect of excluding many Mississippians in that it was seen as a symbol of the era of segregation and suppression of civil rights. I don’t see any compelling reason to keep it. There are plenty of symbols that can be used to bring people together rather than divide, which is what we need to be focused on.
I am certainly proud of my southern heritage, but I also see no reason to cling to symbols that never were symbols for all Mississippians.

First, Whites have been the majority in Miss for years now. Second, Black Mississippians fought for the Confederacy too. I don't know how many fought for it, but was it less than those who fought for the Union, which also had slave states? Third, civil rights organizations have used the rebel flag in the past. Clinton/Gore used it 92.
The SJWs want to end the South. They want it to be blended in with the rest of the nation. If you are ok with that, I don't know what to tell you. I like the nation having distinct areas.
I would have no problem with Mississippians adding a symbol to honor African American heritage. But that is not the goal. The goal is destruction of White Southern heritage. Stop being naive.
It is why they are going after non Confederate White heroes now too.
