I get that it's MSU and I've already given them props for being this highly ranked so far
With that said, it's not even July.

That’s impossible, Florida fans told us it was impossible to recruit good at Mississippi state

Yes. It’s probably the best year in state in a long time, maybe ever. And it’s helped that ole miss has been dealing with all of their stuff. However, we are in the game for some good out of state prospects like a 4* Rb out of Louisiana, a 4* ol out of GA and a 4* OL out of Penn to go with our 4* DE out of TN that Mullen wouldn’t have even attempted to recruit.

Agreed, it’s not even July and there’s a long way to go. But you’re niave if you think it’s not important to start strong. This isn’t fools gold where we have more people committed than anyone else that’s boosting the rankings. Everyone has 12-16 commits by now. And we have plenty of top prospect on the board left still.

State and Ole Miss are recruiting very well. It’s actually nice seeing some really good talent staying home...

Always been a lot of talent from the State of Mississippi....
Don’t know what the numbers are now....but 10 or so years ago Mississippi had more players in the NFL than any other state.

Mullen was too lazy to drive over to Starkville high to recruit. Is it really that shocking he is sucking at UF?

Yes it is. We also have several OOS kids committed to enhance our ranking.

quote:Mississippi is loaded this year and I think it's a big part of it. If State can get get Nakobe Dean, Diwun Black and John Emery then this will be a top 5 class. They are some big names like Bryon Young on the D- line but I think State is at their max on d-lineman

You’ll have to forgive us. We are new to this whole recruiting thing. We haven’t had a staff who can recruit in the last 9 years.

I appreciate coaching up players. They have had to do it and did well. Took us to the last 34 seconds.
It's like they are the underdog in everything and you just hope they do well.
