More than just a guess. Twitter said so.

Dr. Rick Lehman talking Michael Porter Jr. on @Frank_Cusumano's radio show this morning: "I think he'll be back in the next four weeks, and that's more than just a guess."

Whoa.

He'd be dumb to come back so early.

You are right to be scared.

For those of us who do not follow Big XII basketball, where did he go?

Not scared. That was supposedly a season ending injury and is now supposedly coming back in 4 weeks. He needs to give himself more time and not rush to come back so quickly.

He's fallen down some draft boards, so he does actually stand to gain something from playing.

Yup saw he slipped 4 spots this morning. I'd play a couple games too if it meant not losing $20 mill of my initial contract. Great news for Mizzou. Congrats

I thought he was going to be out for the season?

Is the injury not as severe?

More Twitter

I just got off of the phone with Dr. Rick Lehman, an orthopedic in STL. He spoke more about Michael Porter Jr.'s injury: "The thought that he'd miss the whole season in my opinion is probably not realistic."

Story to come.

How is the doctor releasing this information not a violation of HIPAA?

It sounds like it’s not the actual doctor and someone just guessing?

Come back early and you aren't really 100%, play a couple games, look like crap, slide more?

I doubt though that his college games will have no impact on his draft position at this point. If he shows out in the workouts for teams he will make those spots up.

Him going ahead of Bagley and/or Ayton even if he were 100 percent probably wasn't a given.

I hope he does return, because I'd like to watch him play. But I don't agree with the idea that he stands much to gain individually by doing it. Mizzou as a team certainly does though.

thats the point behind all of this. He's not coming back early, the initial time table was just that far off.

I don't know how you can really say at this point if it was off. I'm assuming he's not even close to back to full-speed practice at this point. There are a lot of hurdles to clear I'd think.

No clue how this field works, but maybe the doctor who worked on him and gave him that time frame just doesn't want to be held liable for anything? I know of people with the same procedure done, much older in age, and was able to continue exercising within the month. Now I realize everyone heels differently, but this also explains why he say a bunch of different doctors. Seems everyone game him totally different numbers.
