It's really good when a college team can accumulate one or two 1st round picks on a 35 man roster but to have 5 at the same time is incredible.

Anyone stack up against 2007 Vanderbilt?

David Price 1st round 1st pick (2007)
Pedro Alvarez 1st round 2nd pick (2008)
Mike Minor 1st round 7th pick (2009)
Casey Weathers 1st round 8th pick (2007)
Ryan Flaherty 1S round 41th pick (2008)

Ole Miss 2020. 16-1. 16 Game win streak. Took 2 of 3 from the #1 team in the nation to start the streak and season. Was about to wreck shite in the SEC.

I’ll post some individual stats later. But Google Anthony Servideo.

Damn you, Rona.

Robertson couldn’t hold Servideo‘s jock.

Ole Miss baseball starting hot and failing to make it to Omaha is considered "normal."

Texas 2004

The Texas team losing in the finals in 2004 probably eats at me more than the football team losing to Alabama in 2010. No. 1 for essentially the entire year and couldn't beat a csfu team they had already waxed earlier that season.

Oregon State 2017
Stanford 2000-03

Not gonna deny that. But this team was obviously different. Anyone who watches baseball could tell that.

Oh yeah-and at least Ole Miss has been to Omaha in the 21st century. Not Bama.

LOL - You turds wouldn't have even made it past the Regional round. Supers at absolute BEST.

There's a reason for O.M.A.H.A.

Cute that you have this little narrative to cling to though. I say COVID-19 did you a favor in that regard.

Yeah, that team is probably the legit answer to the question.

Ole Miss is nowhere in any conversation revolving around Omaha.

Sorry your team sucks.

2000 Gamecocks went 56-10 (25-5), 50-6 during the regular season. Lost to ULL in the Supers.

South Carolina had some really dominant teams from 2000 to 2004 (winningest program in that stretch) but couldn't seem to get over the hump in Omaha...although talent wise I'm not sure if one of those teams stood out as the best over one another.

2006 Alabama was a good squad. Finished 44-21. Won the SEC regular season title. Lost to UNC in the Super Regional.

Future MLB players:

Alex Avila
David Robertson
Tommy Hunter
Wade LeBlanc
Matt Downs

2018 UF was more talented than the 2017 UF team that won it all

Dominated most of the year, before the bats fell apart late in the season.

You could probably argue that if we had caught that ball that that Oregon State team would have been the most talented team since 2000 not to win it.
