I might be wrong, but I think every ALabama QB since Kitchens has broken the all-time passing record
ETA: not sure if McElroy did, but Zow, Croyle, Wilson, and McCarron did

A Mark Richt team has never won less than 10 games with a returning starting QB....
1st year starters....
David Green 8-4 in '01 RsFr.
Fatt Matt Stafford 9-4 in '06 Fr.
Joe Cox 8-5 in '09 RsSr.
Aaron Murray 6-7 in '10 RsFr.
Only outlier was D.J. Shockley's 10-3 in '05 RsSr. as a 1st year starter...
Shockley saw a ton of playing time in '02, '03 & '04 tho... Much more PT than Cox saw playing behind Stafford...
With a returning starter CMR is 77-17...
13-1
11-3
10-2
11-2
10-3
10-4
12-2

I think you should include 05's 10-3 in there as well. I know DJ wasn't a freshman, but he was still a first time starter.

Goddamn it, why did Goff and Donnan's records seem to get worse when they had a returning QB starter?

Casey Clausen (UT '01-'03) was 14-1 on the road as a starter and was 2-0 at the swamp. What you got?
Best road record of any UT quarterback who started more than one year.
Most underrated QB ever at UT.

The national press once called Robert R. Neyland second only to Jim Thorpe as an athlete.
At West Point he was a all-star lineman on the football team.
He was a 20 game winning pitcher on the baseball team.
He was also the academy boxing champion.
He was called the greatest coach in college football by two other fellows that knew the game rather well, Knute Rockne and Bear Bryant.
Before being appointed to West Point, he played one year of football at Texas A&M.

What was his only loss?
I could have sworn he started as a freshman in Athens.

David Greene went 15-2 in true road games at UGA. The only losses were to eventual national champ LSU in 03, and undefeated Auburn in 04. Didn't lose on an opponent's home field as a freshman or sophomore.
