Shaud Williams would be a permanant second stringer on Saban's Bama teams. He lit up LSU that night though. I loved every second of it.

I hate to admit this, but Ole Miss hasn't beaten Nick Saban since 2001 (Eli's sophomore year)

In 2010, Auburn had the #53 scoring defense in the nation at 24.1 ppg yet allowed only 3.7 4th quarter ppg and shut out MSU, USC, UGA, and Bama in the 4th.
In 14 wins that season, Auburn was losing at some point in 9 of them.
Auburn went 4-0 where it found itself losing by 10 or more points.
This is why I have always maintained that Chizik was an elite gameday coach. He was a terrible program manager, but the guy could coach on gameday. It also shows how much of a pure leader and winner Cam Newton was.....not just a stat machine.

Johnny Mack Brown acted in over 160 movies during a forty year career in Hollywood. Starting in the silent film era and mostly Westerns thereafter.
Brown, a native of Dothan was the MVP for the '26 Rose Bowl, scoring two TDs to lead Bama to the National Title over heavily favored Washington.
