It's supposed to keep those "not in the know" questioning what the frick is going on

Do they only read one square or do all 4 squares together mean something?

I always assumed each square meant something different for each group of players with an extra thrown in to frick with people.

Line Blocking, Routes, RB Assignments, Coverage, LB assignments, blitzes, etc.

Maybe I'm wrong though. In HS we had colors that meant certain things, but the same color meant the same thing for everybody on the O or the D.

I just assumed the college game added extra complications, since the offensive/defensive schemes were more complicated at higher levels.

To this day I still know what Rattler Green/Silver/Orange means.

My understanding of it is:
1 picture is the first play
1 picture is another play if an audible is needed
2 pictures mean nothing

We're kind of in to running a clean football program, but I'd be super excited for him as well.

I'm not an expert on Petrino, but I didn't know he had a history of running dirty programs. The stuff with Auburn and the Falcons was kind of shady, but not cheating or anything.

I always just thought he was kind of a dick.

Signs may just be a diversion from someone yelling the actual play

That was my initial thought, but they'd have to have a different picture for each play.

Seems intensive.

In high school we had routes 1-9 for receivers. Each play was a certain set (rattler, strong, dive, etc) and a 3 digit number afterwards for the X,Y,Z receivers.

I just assumed everyone else was like that. One pic for the line blocking/backs, and one picture for each of the wideouts.

You would think opposing defenses would catch on if it were that simple.

I guess. Unless the subs bring in the set and the corner of the signs are for the receivers based on the set. Each set has a different corner to look at.

It doesn't matter. There are plenty of old CFB playbooks available for coaches out there, as these new books become available we'll all know the truth behind the signs. It's fun to try to figure out in the meantime.

Taco Bell one may be true, but that pic is totally shopped.

I've seen it in person. It's real. Don't know why someone would shop it and we would say it isnt shopped.its not like we should be proud to have a Taco Bell sign on the field.

Taco Bell sign looks super photoshopped.

If they could sell the signs out to corporations, Freeze could afford more top 5 classes.

Why? Oh yeah, bc we paid for our class? Know how I know you're an idiot?

Just looked fake. Super bright. No reason to be proud/embarrassed of a Taco Bell sign.

My apologies to Ole Miss nation for doubting the legitimacy of the sign.
