List is top 5 among QBs returning

Completion% on throws 20+ yards downfield in 2018
Tua Tagovailoa: 56%
Joe Burrow: 43%
Jake Bently: 38%
Feleipe Franks: 36%
Kellen Mond: 35%

Results are from data mostly compiled from a combination of tools and using the help of: CFBAnalysis / CFB Data API. And a few other places.

A work in progress. Just wanted to share a piece.

Nice having Jeudy, Ruggs, Smith, and Waddle downfield abusing folks.

Tua is one of the most ridiculous downfield QBs I've seen in a long time. I wonder how good Baker was, dude seemed to nail his deep throws.

PFF did this for adjusted completion on throws of over 20 yards as well and Tua was way out in front there too.

Had to be pretty good - Murray threw some beauties too.

He's turned it into an art form.

I'm only able to go back to the 2017 season, but Mayfield completed 55%. Which is obviously still absurdly high.

I swear, after we played them last year, I said that bama may as well have Drew effing Brees back there. Dude is absolutely skilled.

I'm just praying that the Clemson beat down will prove a psychological impediment that he can't overcome.

I think Tua is extremely accurate, and poor at reading actual route trees and defenses for now

For example, he throws to a spot, but gosh darnit he hits that fricking spot

I don't think I've ever seen a team with two scarier WRs on 5-yard crossing routes than Jeudy and Waddle. They can house almost anything with their acceleration.
