Note I did not say "best".

Would have to go with Gary Kubiak for A&M (QB in the early 80's). Won Super Bowl L, with another Aggie (Von Miller) getting MVP in the same game.

Gene Stallings is probably next, given his Natty with Bama, and he may even be a better coach. Kubes inherited a lot that year. Just have to give a Super Bowl more prestige than an NCAA title.

Ralph Shug Jordan is accomplished.
He played Center for the football team, Guard for the basketball team, and Pitcher for the baseball team. He coached football and basketball at Auburn.
He's won a natty.
And he received a Purple Heart for being injured crashing the beaches at Normandy.

Steve Ensminger. Played QB LSU 1976/79. COACHED 1 year for the saints, 1 year for Eagles, Also COACHED at Geogia, Auburn, Clemson, Latech and A&M. Took him a long time, but he is finally winning over tiger fans.

Terry Robiskie? LSU RB 73-76, First Team All-SEC. Long time NFL assitant coach and interim head coach several times, won SB XVIII with the Raiders.
