Has to be smart, lost to Bama in natty and seccg in fourth quarters after outplaying Bama majority of game. He needs to close it out in Tuscaloosa.
Mullen losing four in a row to Kirby would be tough pill for gators. I don’t think they’re happy with ny6 bowl games

Not even close, Kirby is coming off three division titles in a row, a Sugar Bowl win, an appearance in the national title game, and an SEC championship. What has Mullen done?

very little pressure on Kirby to beat Bama, but a lot of pressure on him to run the SEC table otherwise and then beat the West champ in the SECCG.

I'd say Smart in general. He's loaded with talent, but he can't get the monkey of Saban/Orgeron off his back.

I’d say Mullen, simply because his job is in more jeopardy should he not be able to beat UGA.

He's safe for a bit. He cashed in his 21 or so wins in 2 seasons (one shy of Corch Urban). This is a great time for you guys to get the W.

Mullen, just because Florida fans hate losing to the mutts.

It has to be Kirby. Everyone knows Mullen will get back to beating Georgia eventually. No one expects Kirby to ever beat Bama or any team he can’t out talent.

In order to get "back" somewhere, you have to get there first.

There is no pressure on Kirby. He’s proven to be one of the best in the business. He could be at uga for multiple decades

Mullen was 0-9 against Saban and is 0-2 against Kirby (0-3 if you count 2017 when a good State team got blown out in Athens).
He's gotta start beating the big boys sooner rather than later or fans will really get impatient. At both State and Florida he's been good for the occasional win over someone like Auburn or LSU and then beats pretty much everybody he should beat. That can carry him farther at Florida than it could at State, but it also means higher expectations.
Mullen has done everything there is to do at UF except beat Georgia and win the East. So that's the natural next step he will have to take.

Week 3 at Bama with a new QB, I don't think that's a must-win for Smart lol

Oddly enough Kirby has won the East at Georgia as many times as Tennessee has in the last 20 years.

Mullen in 0-22 against teams that finish with 2 losses or less and 2-33 against teams that finish with 3 losses or less.
Given the fact that Kirby is averaging 12 wins a year, the odds don’t favor Mullen.
