Depends, football is more popular so the bust is more infamous. As for which sequence of events is tougher to swallow, I'd say dropping a routine flyball is much more devastating.

Alabama’s dropped paycheck to the refs on the last play of the 2016 NC.

I’d go Arkansas. It’s much easier to catch a routine pop up than it is to guard Alabama WRs.

I think it's Arkansas by far. If that pass by Tua fall incomplete, it's still only 3rd down. If Arkansas catches that pop fly, the game is over and they win the title. Simple as that to me.

3rd & 26. And with a kicker who couldn't hit an extra point, much less a field goal.

They are both rough as hell.

I still don't know that I wouldn't rather lose like that than take a prolific arse whoopin' like we got from Nebraska in 1995. I have 5-6 good friends who are Huskers, so thank goodness Nebraska sucks now so I don't have to hear about it.

Since football is the only important sport the question is rhetorical.

We'd won football national titles prior to 2017. Arkansas has never won a baseball title. Plus it's a play any braeyden at your local travel ball park could make. So I'd say that was worse.

While one of those Razorbacks should have caught the ball I feel like that was a bit tougher of a play than people like to pretend.

Not even a discussion. 2nd and 26. Doesn't get worse than that.

We make that out >90% of the time.

I’ve never heard the explanation but the only thing that makes sense is the 2nd basemen calling the other 2 off then overrunning the ball.

We had a whole other game that no one will ever remember.

dropping a lazy pop foul for a national championship is so much worse than what happened to UGA. Even if UGA doesn't let Smith get behind the defense, the game wasn't over. It was second down and they could have still kicked a FG or even gotten a first down and scored a TD later in the drive (yes, I know Alabama sucks at FGs). Arkansas was literally catching a routine pop up away from a national title and fricked it up.
