Is he fighting for his job at this point ?

I mean I don't think you'll find any fan that will support him at this point. But I think he's not in great position if he doesn't win another FBS game

Moorhead has lost the fan base, and he's lost his team. I don't know how you come back from that.

Pretty sure he if he isn't competitive over the 3 weeks he won't see the egg bowl

if this was the NFL he is gone but colleges are not going to fire someone in year 2 unless they embarrass the school off the field or lie about dating their intern

don't think hes going anywhere if the reports are true about the 11.4 million dollar buyout ?

It feels like that bye week is a good time because by then he plays Arkansas, and if he drops to Arkansas looking pitiful like he does to Tennessee, it's just going to be hard to justify imo.
But you may want him to be the one to suffer against Alabama since that's the next game then make the move.

No way that’s true. Cohen is a coach and he’s going to give Morehead a long leash. Morehead will be the HC at least through the 2020 season, and arguably the 2021 season.

Exactly. Cohen is a coach. Because of this, he understands that there is a culture problem, and that Moorhead has lost support, and it's about to impact $$$ and recruiting. He won't be able to afford giving him another year. IF he does, that makes him complicit.

It's a little over 9M but it drops by a couple of million after the season.
Cost of doing business.

Idk... But his seat will get extremely hot if LSU hangs 50+ points in front of a home crowd in Starkville.

You know what he needs to do? He needs to start Shrader and put together a downhill running package of plays for Shrader and Hill, with some high percentage passes and downfield shots mixed in. I honestly think we can still get to 6-7 wins, go to a bowl, and end the year with some hope if he does that.
You know what he’ll do instead? Get cute with his stupid scheme, probably try Tommy boy again, and continue to lose.

That's not what gets it hot. It's losing games as a TD or more favorite, which he's done five times since he got the job. His seat is already as hot as it's gonna get.

That is the part I do not understand. Shrader looks like he is head and shoulders the better QB. Is he just trying to live up to a promise by playing Stevens ?

JoMo's hot seat ranking went from #34 to #5 after the TN loss. That's an impressive one week hotness increase. There is not much room left in the rankings to increase the hotness after a LSU loss.

I’m sure he feels a little loyalty to Tommy, but more than that I think he’s darn determined to prove to the skeptics that his playbook is genius and will eventually work in Starkville.
Last year it was a failure to use Fitz’s legs. This year it was a failure to utilize Shrader (or KT’s) legs. That would just be too pedestrian for him. He has to show his genius to the world.
