Constitutionally and legally, no they are not.
They are for protecting your life. That’s the only right you have. Vigilantism is not lawful. Even hunting is not constitutionally guaranteed.

Get over what? I lived in that neighborhood for a few years and still occasionally work with teachers and students that go there. Damn near everyone wants the name changed to someone that didn't fight a war to keep their people enslaved.

Let me guess, this didn't happen at all. This was just more fear porn by individuals on here who enjoy to get everyone afraid and hating everyone. The only thing I'm sure that happened was a protest in Downtown Montgomery/Capitol district.
