1. LSU
2. Ohio State
3. Clemson
4. Oklahoma
I mean there's literally no point to a CFB committee. Say what you want about a playoff but 3 P5 conference champions went undefeated.
And while everyone has been ripping on Clemson, they haven't lost a game since 2017, played 11 P5 teams including 2 SEC Teams, and won all but 1 convincingly.
Meanwhile Ohio State scheduled 0 nonconference P5 teams and people wanted them as the #1 seed.
Just unreal
I saw LSU in person in Starkville MS and was amazed how they took control right when I thought their rust was as going to make them struggle. They have some leaders!
My point is this was the reason this playoff was created, so none of these teams got left out. And I can't wait to watch!

What would happen in a season where it was decided with the "eye test" someone like bama or tOSU needed to be in and the metrics said they were out. The committee has a purpose and it isn't to get the best or the most deserving 4 teams...it's to make money.

We just need to get rid of the BS committee and use BCS rankings to do top 4.

Notice how rare it is for a team that has not already won a NC since 1980 to get into the playoff?

The purpose of the committee is to drive tv ratings and buzz, by creating drama that a computer can’t.

Again. People weren't pissed about selections. It was two teams and Bama getting a mulligan every year.

FAU and Miami (OH) won their conferences and Cincy played for the title in their conference. OSU lucked into that occuring, but most of the reason for this was Gary P at TCU backed out of the home and home

Straight up said he didn't want a loss:

Gary Patterson says on @dfwticket he was the reason TCU's home-and-home with Ohio State was altered into a one-off at Jerry World. Says a home-and-home with the Buckeyes "wasn't a good business plan."
"Business" in this case reaching the CFP, not making money.
