Does Mizzou struggle to recruit Kansas City and St Louis? Because selling Midwest kids on the whole idea of being able to compete against the best players in the nation such as Georgia and Florida on a yearly basis seems like enough to reel kids to Columbia and at least be more than a 7 win team. No trash talk here, I just believe Missouri and surrounding states have enough talent to compete in the east every year.

Missouri is the Ole Miss of the Midwest if that makes any sense.

No mater how much they try, it’s likely that they’ll find a way to screw it all up?

Exactly. Plenty of instate talent that is willing to play ANYWHERE else.

Man.. I wouldn’t exactly call them a sleeping giant like Texas or Florida, but they are certainly something in between right? The right coach and staff can turn them into something decent.

They do pretty good in the KC area, and struggle in the Lou area, which is where most of the high talent is.

They play Georgia and Bama this year just like LSU does. There’s no way there isn’t kids in Illinois & Ohio that are itching get down south and compete with and against the best athletes in the country. Coach Odom has got to get it together bc they have an opportunity to be a legit program IMO. The SEC didn’t add them for no reason they saw potential and obviously revenue bc of their following. Get it done Missouri.

It is hard to convince players to spend their college careers inside of an a-hole

We struggle to recruit against the blue bloods. We identify and recruit early, then blue blood shows interest and the kid sees stars (ie. E. Elliott). Many StL kids see leaving as status or cool. KC does not have the depth of talent that StL has. Then we lose a few to different style like Montee Ball to Wisy. He didn't like the spread.

There are a few "loyal to the state U or program" (ie. D. Lock), but not enough. So we have to develop players.

Winning cures all.

Something like that. Yet he's still involved as a consultant if my understanding is correct.

They need his arse back on the sideline.

They gotta go somewhere. It’s not Ole Miss’ problem that the state of MS doesn’t produce enough kids to fill up the flagships. shite if they offered me a scholarship I’d be omw to Oxford just like i did for Baton Rouge.

Damn they won the east back to back. Their 2013 team was very good. That was the perfect chance to show kids look we can do this SEC thing and continue to win here if “you guys” come play for mizzou.
