Missouri is handling this well. Suing China, opening campus, and forcing Coach Harry Potter to take a pay cut.

Kudos.

I believe you, but do you also have a link? Seems early to announce.

The announcement said they "expect to return to in-person operations and classes this fall" ... "the situation demands continued flexibility"

That means absolutely nothing

I think this is it, but there is a disclaimer:
quote:

The University of Missouri is planning to have in-person classes on its Columbia campus in the fall.

"We have teams working on the planning required to bring our beautiful campus to life once it is possible," UM System president and MU interim chancellor Mun Choi wrote in a message to campus. "While remote classes will continue through the summer, we expect to return to in-person operations and classes this fall. In consultation with public health officials and Mizzou’s own health care experts, we are developing plans for our return to campus within a 'new normal' that we expect will be necessary."

The university stopped in-person classes in early March as the COVID-19 outbreak grew.

Choi wrote that workers are disinfecting the campus while using social distancing rules. Faculty and staff will return to campus in phases, he wrote.

"We are also developing new social distancing procedures that could impact how we teach our classes, run our meetings or conduct our research," Choi wrote. "With caution and creativity, the traditions and rich experiences at Mizzou will resume."

The university will remain flexible and adjust as the COVID-19 situation changes, Choi wrote.

I give those yankees a lot of shite for being, you know, fricking yankees. With that said, they deserve credit for this.

All I know is this....frick a world without sports.

Good, 99.9% of college students would be fine with corona anyways. I had far worse self-inflicted illnesses in college

Don't get over confident

A certain percentage of College Kids might succumb to Covid-19 given all their bad habits like vaping and drug use, can't take anything for granted ,this shyt is serious

We'll see. Sometimes it only takes one to have the balls to step up and the rest of the cowards fall in line now that they don't have to cya anymore.

Never expected it to me UM, but props to them.

99.9% applies to basically the entire population.

Everybody is saying that same shite at this point except some colleges in the hard hit Northeast. My kid is being told to expect to report to class in Tuscaloosa in the fall. But at this point, "the situation is fluid" as the saying goes.
