That's another series win for the Tigers! 19-3 at Taylor.
After defeating Southeastern Conference Eastern Division foe South Carolina on Friday, Mizzou Baseball (29-15-1, 9-10-1 SEC) snatched Saturday's game two contest from the Gamecocks, as junior LHP TJ Sikkema delivered arguably the best performance of his Tiger career.

Although high winds whipped through Taylor Stadium for much of Saturday evening, Sikkema was locked in, recording 10 strikeouts while allowing no hits and no runs through 7.0 innings pitched.

The season of misery continues for the Gamecocks. Now Mizzou is not a bad team, there is no shame in getting beat by them, but this was a spanking. I can't imagine the USC faithful are happy with the way this season has gone.

You took Sikkema out with a no-hitter through seven going. Wassa matta you?

I encourage Mizzou baseball fandom. Have an upvote.

Will Missouri get to enjoy their success or will the NCAA punish the program for the tutor scandal? That would suck.

Probably the worst season in school history. Definitely the worst since joining the SEC.

His pitch count was already up over the 120 mark in a 9-0 game....tough call, but probably the right call to not bring him out to pitch the 8th. He wasn't going to finish the game regardless.

Good on the coach.

This is the worst season I can remember dating back to the 60s. We had a few bad seasons back then which is what led to us eventually hiring Bobby Richardson ... but I can not remember us ever suffering through a season like this, at least not in my lifetime.

Well, if anyone would know the dangers of high winds and living in a trailer, it would be a peasant from the boot.

I doubt there is anyway that they finish that appeal before the CWS starts.
Better luck next time, cocks.
