There was a theory in another thread that got rid of the divisions completely. Would fix absolutely everything,

Waiver. Slive has a pretty big pecker right now.

Yup, would absolutely work. With Slive's pull maybe he could work something out with the NCAA. Or maybe if the so called "REC" got involved.

I've heard a lot of talk under the assumption the SEC looks east, whether it's UNC, NC State, VaTech and so on. Realistically, if you're looking west, who do you look to add? OU? What about luring Nebraska out of the B1G? Have no idea how tied in they are. I'm assuming no other Texas schools, so who on the western border?

A possible workaround I just thought of. Make ATL a bowl game, outside the purview of NCAA.

It's not really an assumption. Slive specifically said this.

The schools that make the most sense with further expansion talks are the Oklahoma schools. I think it is a good possibility they come on board. The thing is is that they are a package deal, so you would have to take both. I would love to add Oklahoma.

I really just want to stay how we are now. I didn't like the first move and I don't like the next one.

with that said I know we are going to get bigger, can't do anything to stop it. I'd prefer UVA and UNC but those two seem like long shots at this point.

100% agree but we have to expand because that is the way everything is going. I was really happy with 10 of us honestly.

Ok, if you don't like the word assumption, how about "I've heard a lot of talk about the SEC looking east based on Slive's statements, but if we look west, who would you realistically add?"

I think the point I was getting at is there aren't a whole lot of options west. Essentially west, you have an Oklahoma school(OU/OSU) and a kansas school(kU/KSU).

I personally liked the addition of Mizzou as the 3rd punching bag to the East. Auburn will eventually resurrect themselves so I'm fine with them staying where they are.

Real long with Grant of Rights. Expansion might actually come to a halt for SEC....for a while anyway.

Good. What's the point of calling us the South Eastern Conference if we are gonna let in OK/OSU or KU/KSU?

If Auburn goes East watch for 2 permanent opponents so Bama can play Auburn and Tenn every year...
