True, but I'd gladly give up the iron bowl being an annual event to be in the East.

Move Mizzou to the west, add East Carolina and Cincinnati to the East (because no ACC teams available)

I'm not sure what else comes of it. I guess no other west team cares about playing AU every year. I just don't want to have to choose between the Tigers and the Vols.

Well, like I said on first page...the IB could be done away with, on an annual basis, for a few good reasons.

Yea I could see that. We didn't play for a long arse time in the beginning. But I don't think the Admins from either school would want to lose that game, especially now that its a home and home.

Auburn is barred from the decision-making process

The perfect solution would be to expand westward so Mizzou could come west and Alabama and Auburn could move east.

We tried to move to the east. Bama blocked it. Saban knows we would be the main state school in GA if this happened.

I would rather not Alabama go east. I like playing the teams in the west more.

No way the iron bowl would not be played annually.

After years of being talked about on the site, I honestly think there is no answer hear that solves the scheduling problem . I guess we just have to nut up and play a hard as schedule most years.

This would work, but the East would be rediculous

They would have a financial aspect to consider now if they gave the okay to discontinuance. But in the long run it might be better regarding civility, shenanigans, polarization among state citizens and other things.

Don't blame you. Just wasn't sure if that was the only thing lost.

At the end of the day it's still all about pleasing Alabama.

There was a theory in another thread that got rid of the divisions completely. Would fix absolutely everything, but, By NCAA rules we could not have a Championship Game without divisions.
