Missouri was brought into the SEC to replace Tennessee

Slive knew Tennessee couldn't hang with heavy hitters like Georgia and Florida, so he went calling to the northwest. Mizzou was the perfect fit.
Since 2012:
Mizzou has 2 east titles, 2 ten win seasons, 3 wins vs Florida, and a top 5 finish. Tennessee only has a win vs Florida.
The SEC East was getting too top heavy with UGA and UF. Needed a northern team to balance them out. Mizzou delivered.
Thats precisely why we're in the East. And no, we're not leaving.
