Missouri offense under Heupel

I see a few Vol fans trying to grasp at a glimmer of hope with this hire. Yes, he’s a fat ugly piece of shite that no one around him likes (players or coaches) but hey! His offenses were great!
In 2016
We scored 61, 79 and 51 vs Delaware St, Eastern Michigan and Middle Tennessee
Our scoring avg vs P5 teams was 21.3 PPG
He would feast against bad teams and his offense would shite the bed against good ones. This doesn’t take into account the massive poor effect that his offense had on our defense. When he left for UCF, Odom spoke many times about finding a guy willing to play complimentary, winning offense. Lock spoke many times about having a OC prepare him for the NFL by actually having him read defenses and employing a real route tree. A lot of Heupel’s stuff is one WR running a route and the other 2 or 3 standing at the LOS. The read is rip it or throw it away. He really hurt Lock’s development although he put up some numbers because we had a couple of really good deep threats and Lock can throw the deep ball. Then, of course Dooley came in. The offense was explosive and the team was better.

Yea he’s gradually getting worse at UCF. Terrible hire by the vols. Plus he’s said he hates recruiting.

His splits at UCF stood out as well. His offense isn’t nearly as radical as they are hyped up to be.

This is a TERRIBLE disaster of a hire. Laughable actually.

Took a very good UCF team under Frost and ruined it. Basically given the keys to a Corvette and promptly ran it into a ditch.

Your sorry football team lost to Pruitt and Chaney (2 in a row) by 23 fricking points this past season.. which is way more than the average ppg this offense scored the whole season.

It's pretty good at racking up yardage between the 20 yard lines but that's it.
