Mizzou football was strong in the 40's, 60's and the "decade" 2005-2014. 60's Mizzou turned down multiple bowls because they were slaps in the face, Devine felt.
70's Mizzou was a weird mix of giant-beaters and turd-layers, even during the same year.
Pinkel did NOT single-handedly land us in the SEC. He helped smooth the process, but it was a combination of our endowment, alumni base, facilities, and the value of being the only major school athletics-wise in a mid-ranked state by population with 2 decent-sized metro areas. The SEC had been courting Mizzou about once a decade, going back to the 1950's at least.

I'd say you've got a fair assessment of Missouri. You will get people more excited to talk about deer season than Mizzou football, although it wasn't always that way.

That’s a myth. Mizzou made an Elite 8 with Mike Anderson but the Mizzou basketball program only has 3 Elite 8s all time and nothing more.
There program is so weak they named a court after a guy with one Elite 8.

I take it you have never been the wingman and gotten a Large Marge or two. In the dark it is all the same and better to have a girl with a healthy appetite than some Skinny Minnie who spits.

Overweight women are all great in the sack and they love me. I have no sense of taste or smell and can breathe through my ears.
