The Mississippi State announcers were pretty fair about it. They were incredulous about the scoring, and even stated that it should have been 3 errors, not 1.
So far on the weekend I count around 4 errors that were counted as hits. I agree that home cooking happens in every single college game, but I also agree that the scorer was taking liberties gratuitously.

Stevenson's bunt tonight shoulda been a hit, when u put that kinda pressure on a 3B with your speed, no way is that an error. Was a perfect bunt.
