To all Mississippi State fans- Would you rather have your former HC than have Leach? Why I am asking this? Maybe it would have been better to wait until the end of this year to look for a HC that was not a last minute hired that created a not a good hired this year. Might have you given more time to interview and allow the new HC to recruits and set up his own staff and not do it so late that there was not much choices to choose from. I think that would have been a better plan to wait another year(end of this year) at least give HC time to hire his staff and do some recruiting early than all been done way too late.

I hope he turn out to be a good HC for Mississippi State. How much is he getting paid for this year? I thought I saw it somewhere and it was 5 Million a year. So far he hasn't done enough to be worthy of that.

Absolutely not. Moorhead was fired because of cultural issues, more so than awful on the field.

One more year of Moorhead would have dont irrepairable damage to the culture of the program.

Leach was a great hire. I don't know if there would be a better choice available.

Everything that has happened today was going to need to happen regardless of who the new coach was. Kylin while a great on the field talent, is a massive drama queen.

Would be 0-4 with Moorhead. He created a ton of culture issues which contributed to his departure. Because of COVID, a lot of players that wouldve been out in the SPring are gone now. And some upperclassmen that got used to a culture of unaccountability are now not able to handle it.

It's telling when you say "former HC" and my mind immediately jumps to Dan Mullen

No head coach was going to do anything this year. Our program was a disaster with rampant culture issues.

All of this crap would have happened in the spring if it was there. There would have been so many transfers processed if he had a spring.

His job this year is to clear the problems out of the program and work on installing the program.

Nobody expected him to win any games until we randomly beat LSU.

The issue is MSU would hire someone a lot less to clean up the mess and not hired a as been HC that does make much adjustments throughout his HC career.

I also thought Leach was not at the school until later on. Did you see Leach didn't make much or any adjustments after the Arkansas game. Just kept the same system and just now after getting shut out by Kentucky he is going to make some adjustment. Why did he wait to do that? Missouri made adjustment from LSU to Kentucky. Some HC are lazy and don't put a lot of time to make changes and/or adjustments.

Moorhead was an idiot. Did we get a little too excited with the Leach hire? Yes, we did, but he will be successful at some point IMO.
