Lasts until 2022. I still don’t know how I feel about him yet

How long was his initial contract? Is this just 1 extra year and a slight salary bump?

Why though? They should have waited at least another year. I get recruiting, but no one is after him.

I've never understood why'd you give a raise/extension to a mediocre coach no one is going after. Lsu did the same thing.

Who the hell is coming after O & Moorhead?

Yea, though I guess if the buyout doesn't change then it's really just PR and Goodwill anyway.

I have no clue. He has done nothing to prove he is worth it yet. Even in recruiting. Mississippi just had the best class this state will ever have and we lost a lot of high end recruits that should have been right ins to state and ole miss.

After 1 year?

Seems premature.

I think he will be good when he gets guys that fit his style. But after 1 lackluster year seems too early.

Surprising. Maybe that's why he leveraged a raise.

Yea - if they didn't add in a buyout then there really isn't much risk to State to extend him.

Its the equivalent on non-guaranteed money in the NFL.

Y’all did the same with Sumlin... no one was ever going after him
