I actually thought about taking the job for a mere $250,000 but I knew I could deliver a much better product and I refused to back stab MSU like that.

He still has to be approved by the university and IHL. There may be a problem

I'm pretty sure IHL is all Ole Miss Grads. I doubt they care that he was involved in Domestic Violence.

Then you really need to go educate yourself, as you are way wrong. The IHL is dumb and should be disbanded. Each University should have its own board and allowed to choose its own Chancellor. The IHL exists to make sure the smaller schools in the state (USM for example) have as much power and sway within the state as Ole Miss or State, which does nothing but hold Ole Miss and State back.

Why is that an insult? We're The University of Mississippi. I never understood folks getting their panties in a wad when we're referred to as Mississippi.

Oh trust me. I know they hold us back. I just always assumed it was because Ole Miss wanted it that way. Does not surprise me though that the HBCs are the ones making a storm. We should separate like Alabama does.

If we had that much control over the IHL, we never would have gotten stuck with Vitter. We get equally screwed over by the IHL - trust me on that one. If there is ever any common ground between Ole Miss and State, its our shared hatred for both the IHL and the Clarion Ledger.

According to Ole Miss’ 247 guy his boots aren’t on the ground yet. He was interviewed yesterday on Bounds and said things were still being worked out
