Miss State fans’ confidence

LSU rarely plays State this early, so I haven’t really paid attention to their fans in the past, but are they always this confident/cocky going into the first game?
State still has mediocre talent and are breaking in new schemes with minimal spring/summer/fall camp opportunities. Frankly, it looks like it could be difficult to make it all come together against much better talent in LSU.
I am glad they like their team, but where does this confidence come from?

They are usually more cocky. It’s kind of their thing
They talk big shite and will have an epic night if State wins, but if they lose they don’t even care that much.

They always do this when they haven’t been exposed yet. It’s called the grind. It was horrible in 2014 and 2017.

I am certainly not insecure. We have a lot of young players, but have more coming back than the media would lead you to believe. Brennan is going to be fine.
I guess the only wild card is a Mike Leach offense, but we will have the best secondary in the SEC so I feel pretty comforted by that.

As others have said, it’s the grind and kinda their thing. This year’s has been exceptionally weak compared to previous ones.
