Someone should tell him the SEC doesn't do commuter schools.

ONLY purpose behind SEC expansion is adding more revenue. If we added teams like UCF, USF, or any other in an SEC state, we'll have the same $$$$ but each school's portion would decline. MIzzou and the Ags added revenue to the SEC.

Just when I think you can't be any more stupid and shallow, you surprise me.

Keep up the good work board jester.

Thats just not true. Sure every college has some very high quality women. But Ole Miss just has more of them. And their average is well above that of State. MSU has way more heffers running around than any other major college I've been to.

And you ignored the fact that State is the worst academic school in the worst academic P5 conference. Not that Ole Miss is head and shoulders above, but they are better. Kind of like how State might be better overall athletically than Ole Miss for now, but the gap isnt wide and State still sucks too.

Ole Miss has a bigger and better fanbase, brings in more money, is more visible nationally, and has a higher ceiling.
Oxford is a great college town and is basically a suburb of Memphis and in one of the more populated and civilized areas of MS.
Starkville is one of the worst college towns in the country, and in the middle of nowhere with the closest "cities" being Tuscaloosa and Columbus. They draw rural farm kids, inbreds from the delta, and kids from AL and LA that didn't get accepted to UA, AU, or, LSU

So no they are not drawing "exactly the same kids". There is a significant difference between the income and education levels of the families that send their kids to State or Ole Miss.

Spouting more BS that has no substance.

We ain't the best but we are not below Ole Miss

We also have an idiot for a head coach but let's forget about the other 20 something times we've beat the shot out of State the last 25 years. Whatever fits your narrative, fella.

Can't have a "southeastern" conference lacking a program from a gulf coast state. Especially with 2 major programs with passionate followings in that state.

Maybe back in the day drop 1 of the MS programs leaving one stronger and the other to die out (like LSU-Tulane), but at this point it just wouldn't feel the same if we lost either imo.

If anyone were to be booted to make room for another enticing program like an OU or Florida/Carolina school it just has to be Missouri. SEC needed the state of Texas and an even number, the latter can improved upon.

Dude, I've lived in Mississippi my whole life except when I was at LSU. I've visited both campuses more times than I'd like to admit. This statement is just absolutely false. About 75% of both schools enrollment come from the same in state Mississippi high schools. The divide between the fans is pretty much 50/50 in this state. No, the truth is, one is a medical/law school and the other is an engineering/agricultural school thus a lot of people have this "illusion" that State fans are rural and Ole Miss fans are city people. If you want to talk wealth here, well, the old saying is true. If you don't own land, you don't own shite and it's the agricultural folks that own most of the land in Mississippi still. Granted I will give that the Ole Miss people are far more willing to part with their money for things like football but in Mississippi, agriculture is still king.

No. They're charter members. Plus Bianchi isn't using 'elicit' correctly. So his argument is void.

I beg to disagree. Outside of Clemson,TCU, and perhaps U of Arizona, Ole Miss has the best looking women I've witnessed on any campus and I've been to just about every school south of the Mason Dixon line (don't get me started on Northern schools)

I get loyalty to your favored university, but that's just completely out of left field.

The only reason the Mississippi schools are in the SEC is because they were in the right place at the right time 100 years ago when the major conferences were formed.

That's the first time "Mississippi" and "right place" have ever been used in the same sentence.

From a Clemson fan: Bianchi is a moron. Ole Miss is pure class when it comes to college game day. Best tailgate anywhere in the Grove. Rabid fan base and offensive minded football (defense optional). They'll recover and make the SEC proud. Go Rebels!

I mean they're both huge schools in big cities. They have upside that the Mississippi schools don't. It's conference affiliation that's held both back. And I think that's the point.

Ole Miss beats your team routinely in football and baseball, and won the SEC tournament by defeating your elite squad in a sport where we are historically the worst in the league, just a few years ago. so I sort of can and sort of cant understand why you would say that.

Nah. That theory was proven wrong in the old SWC days. When Houston and SMU wer part of a major conference, they failed to bring in fans into the stadium and tv viewers.

Just look at TCU. Even now that they've joined a major conference, they still fail to fill out their stadium after losses and their tv ratings are usually lower than the rest of the conference.

When the fandom isn't there, it's just not going to magically appear. Directional commuter and small private schools in big cities have always struggled at attracting fans. Nothing will change that. Major cities just have more things to do on a Saturday night than college town.

Mike Bianchi. Noted troll. Not reading.

Bianchi is close to 50, if not older. He's not a millenial. He's a troll playing to his Orlando and Tampa readers.
