The Arky fans need to be patient and let him get the players he needs to run his system. And then a little more time for the players to learn his system.

Not sure if trolling or not, but I will say I'm not sure what some Arkansas fans expected this year, especially if you look at the meltdown over on hogville.

Yeah you returned Gafford but quite literally almost no one else. Arkansas should be a bottom part of the conference type team with that kind of turnover and no real immediate great replacements (even though Joe and Jones have worked out pretty well).

I think you can blame Mike for a few players inexplicably also transferring out from last year and why not get more JUCO kids than just Mason Jones for this year (after the success of Barford and Macon especially)...but this was always shaping up to be a down year for Arkansas since last year.

I'm not sure if he will get another year or not, if he does, he needs to hit JUCO ranks harder and find some immediate replacements again, losing Gafford is going to hurt really bad.

It’s not about what we expected this year, it’s what we expected last year. He had his most veteran squad last year, limped into the NCAAT as a 7 seed and got their doors blown off by 10 seed Butler. Also this year’s team is young but they have regressed. So basically he can’t win with a veteran roster and can’t develop young players. And his recruiting and roster building is getting worse. Mike is a good man and has run a clean program but It’s time to move on.

He should've managed his roster better. 3 NCAA's in 8 years is beyond unacceptable at Arkansas. And he will get fired for it.

Why? Arkansas basketball has been mediocre outside of Nolan Richardson’s years

Y’all had a one time great coach and that’s it.

KEK

Arkansas basketball before Nolan already made several final fours and was in the tournament every year. Does Eddie Sutton ring a bell?

1 Natty in basketball is 100% more than State has in ANY sport.

It's okay though State friend, you'll get there one day

Arky has a pretty rich basketball tradition even though it's been a long while since they had national prominence. Mike will get another year to work things out. Personally, I'm enjoying him twist in the wind, serves him right.

We only made one final four appearance under Sutton in ‘78. So, four total in a forty plus year time frame. Sutton and Richardson both delivered some great periods, but we certainly haven’t been relevant in a long time.
Maybe another “splash “ hire can bring on another “streak”, and that’s what we’ve been “streaky”.
