Right now the elite teams are

Auburn
Kentucky

Tennessee
LSU

Tier 2:

Bama
Arkansas

Tier 3:

Ms. State
Florida
A&M

Are we as good of a conference as we thought we were?

I think Auburn, Kentucky, Tennessee, Bama and LSU all have the talent level to make it to the elite 8. LSU just needs Pinson back.

I honestly believe that when Kentucky’s guards are at full strength, you guys can beat anyone in the country.

So, I guess yes we are still as good as we thought we were. I haven’t given up on Bama or LSU yet.

I haven’t watched Arkansas play one game so I have no idea what is up with you guys

Tennessee is pretty poor offensively. They are a round of 32 +/- a game team unless they drastically improve offensively or get a great draw.

We'll probably send 8 to the dance.

As good or better than any other conference. Big 12 and 10 are right there.

SEC and big 12 are about the same with the exception of SEC having an auburn and the big 12 currently doesn’t.

The Big Ten is a step behind.

The ACC is pretty down.

After a great Pac 12 showing in the tournament last year, I’m really not impressed with any of them. Just a couple of decent teams.

Baylor is just as good as Auburn is.

No team is above a skid and they hit a tough one.

Baylor-Kansas

Auburn-UK

I give the SEC a slight nod but those are all final 4 caliber teams. I think the next group of teams tilts in SECs favor.

This Arkansas is exponentially more talented than last year's Elite 8 team.

If they can ever truly gel, the sky is the limit.

So far I wouldn’t say that. That home lost to Oklahoma State is a black eye right now. I don’t see Auburn dropping a home game to a team teetering around .500.

Clearly yes. Big 12 and Big 10 might have an argument for best, but the SEC is right up there.

The Big 12 benefits from being smaller (10 teams) and none of them sucking. Their lowest NET rating is Kansas State at 63. Vandy, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Missouri, and Georgia are all below Kansas State. But the top of those conferences seem to be pretty comparable. Same with Big 10.

This weekend's Big 12 / SEC matchups should reveal more.

Muss has finally found a starting lineup that is productive and the defense is coming around and playing much better.

It seems it takes a little while for teams to click in this system, especially with all the new players each year, so hopefully they're getting it figured out.

Yet, we beat both tier 2 teams and currently are tied for 3rd in the conference. Your tiers are shite

I’d say the SEC is just as good as any other conference. Teams are getting upset left and right all across the country.

Big 10 is solid but not sure they have a championship level team in it.

ACC is garbage

PAC-12 is ok

Big 12 and SEC are sort of mirror conferences of each other right now.

I have thought this all year...

BUT

they lost the Auburn transfer that put them over the top last season

Who was it?

Davion but he was just one piece. That Drew managed to keep that freakish backcourt all in one place is amazing.

Baylor is solid but that 2-3 game losing streak is head scratching. Especially at home to Ok St with the cowboys missing one of their best players
