I'm far from down brother. Actually got to meet the dean for my masters and he is a Razorback (my university is in IL). Awesome walking into his office seeing all the stuff he had. Also, it was during the game and he told me updates

Like I said in my post....it’s the plastic cards they wear on their belts.
Another Michigan runner did the same thing...just didn’t look as bad.

We were getting hammered at Hop Cat in Ann Arbor watching the game tonight and when this slide happened there was a collective OHHHHH OUCH that erupted that was hilarious.

Are you blind? The slide was fricked up by his hands planting in the dirt. He was ruined before that card was within a foot of the ground.

Yeah that could wind up being a problem in some slides.... but this time it was his hands and not the card and it's clear as day.

Those mittens got stuck in the dirt, but it looked as if he had never learned how to slide. The angle was too severe.

Up here in Ann Arbor ... local news is saying the infield at TD Ameritrade is made of the synthetic rubber tire recycled product (like they use on football fields with artificial turf) and that the warning track around the perimeter is natural clay.
And then players are saying the rubber product binds with anything else that's rubber... like the gloves they are wearing and belts they are wearing.

Could be. I saw where the other Michigan player smacked his face sliding into 3rd also.
