Maybe he was just happy where he was. Shocker. It happens.

What a dumb move, unless he's content with the Memphis WR position.

Memphis throws the hell out of the ball. It's a good place for him to shine. He's probably holding out for an OC job or a WR job at a school known for their passing game.

Memphis has been a pretty good launching pad for coaches of late.

Fuente - Memphis HC to Va Tech HC
Barry Odom - Memphis DC to Missouri HC
Chip Long - Memphis OC to Notre Dame OC

That's just in the past two years.

A source confirmed that Florida contacted offensive line coach Ryan Silverfield about a vacancy on its staff in recent weeks while Texas A&M reached out to defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson. Both remain on staff at Memphis.

A&M and Florida fans should be cautious about posting in this thread.

LSU is getting boycotted, the coaches just won't say it publicly. I know a guy who has been involved in Lousiana high school football for a while, and he says that coaches there were really unhappy when they let Miles go. Apparently coaches down there really liked Miles and pushed their kids hard to go there. Said LSU needed to make a "big hire" in order to justify getting rid of Les, and the hire they made, Orgeron, didn't really satiate them. I guess the most recent stuff may have pushed them over the edge.

Probably felt he wasn't ready for the SEC. If so, I commend him for that and thank him for not creating another Jaluke situation for us.

Is that how Ed got a top 5 recruiting class?
