Do those guys know yall have packed that stadium for the garbage arse product they have been a part of producing for decades? There are plenty of problems, yall's fans arent it.

Meh, those guys will move on and so will the program. We had the same thing happened when the end was clear for Odom. Players sparring with fans on Twitter.

It's pretty typical nowadays and happened at Ole Miss when Luke was fired. Same guys huffing and puffing will be just as fired up when the new name comes in. Or they won't and they'll leave.

I honestly wish someone could just go up to them and ask if they find the state of the program acceptable? Do they really think how shitty this team is okay? Is Muschamp really doing his job? Where they?

I understand defending a coach they have a personal connection with but it's Year 5. You can't defend a 2-8 season.

It's particularly amusing coming from all of these defenders that have gotten 100 points hung on them int he last 2 weeks.

Bryan Edwards retweeted someone who said our ceiling was 7 wins or something. So it’s pretty clear what they think of our program

7 wins in a 10 game all SEC schedule ain't that bad though.

That said, aren't these guys just bitching about internet twitter fans? I know I've seen some nasty shite thrown at our guys on twitter after losses and IMO it's bullshite fans feel entitled to go at a player on twitter.

That's part of the problem. They are content with the status quo as long as they are better than 6-6 and will continue to fill Willie B. and piss and moan decade after decade

This happens at every school where a coach gets fired. It's not news.

Yup, we’ve lost several guys to transfer as well since Drink came in. Thinning the herd.

I thought Drink had a great response to this

That's not really the case anymore. Otherwise we wouldn't have just fired a .500 coach with a $15 million buyout.

In terms of fan commitment and resources this isn't the Gamecock program of old. Our facilities are top tier and our fans obviously aren't accepting of crappy seasons.

Now go back to the M/TV board.

Here's the problem. Since virtually every major school that wants to be successful in football also has top facilities that makes what your schools offers nothing special and the UofSC has to sell itself on something else like "beautiful" Columbia or that winning tradition and coaches get to move on to greater things type of pitches....which doesn't exist there.

Beauty? You think kids are going to Clemson and Tuscaloosa because of their infinite beauty? Let's not forget that Clemson had approximately 1 national title before this current stretch. How do you think they were able to pull kids in from teams with more success than Clemson across the South? Trust me, it wasn't the scenery.

It's all just about finding the right coach that knows the X's and O's, can recruit, and has a fan base that is willing to do what we all know every major fan base does - pay the players. On that I think we are sorely lacking.

But really wasn't that long ago that we were finishing Top 5 in the nation and taking it to UGA, UF, and Clemson. The idea that it just can't be done here but can at the smaller, poorer school in the state is absurd.
