The Texas basketball program brings with it 3 Final Fours, 7 Elite Eights, and 10 Sweet Sixteens.

Oklahoma brings 5 Final Fours, 9 Elite Eights, and 11 Sweet Sixteens.

Definitely shakes up the pecking order historically in the SEC basketball program rankings.

No one cares about basketball right now.

We just welcomed new Men's and Women's BB coaches we're pretty excited about so hopefully both squads will take the next step soon.

Yep should strengthen an already strong league.

How awkward is the Big 12/SEC Challenge going to be this year? SEC has already won...

Just makes that even better imo. Oklahoma has a great new coach. That’s the best thing about OU we are pretty competitive in most sports . I would agree with that assessment of Texas to.

Arkansas welcomes both basketball programs. Would be nice to increase the overall series record against both Texas and Oklahoma.

vs. Texas: Arkansas leads 87-68
vs. Oklahoma: Arkansas leads 16-12

Looking forward to watching Auburn playing Oklahoma in January and giving them a taste of what's to come in this conference

Is that Auburn's challenge game?

Oklahoma may be decent this year. New coach, could be a crap shoot.

baseball too. Texas has a great baseball program.

This will benefit the SEC in multiple sports and put more money in all our pockets.

Yup. Auburn is going to have the best front court in the country, so I hope Oklahoma is decent, we need a challenge

I wish I could say the same for aTm. But when I listen to Buzz Williams I have no idea where he is going with the program.

Texas is going to be elite in NCAAM this year. That roster is absolutely brimming with talent and Chris Beard is the goods. Hook em.

He's like Pearl-lite

He almost out up a good game vs UVA, but if Auburn hadn't gotten cheated in the Final Four Beard would've gotten absolutely blown out and humiliated in the Natty. Probably would've tanked his stock and he'd still be stuck in the Starkville of Texas
